Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Internal Control Officer to join our team at our Alimosho (Iyana Ipaja) branch. This essential role involves ensuring compliance, minimizing risk, and protecting the company’s assets through effective internal control processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and enhance the effectiveness of internal controls across store operations.
- Conduct regular audits of processes including inventory management, cash handling, bakery operations, and point-of-sale systems.
- Investigate discrepancies and report findings to management.
- Assist in implementing risk management strategies and recommend improvements to existing procedures.
- Collaborate with HR/Risk & Control to ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory standards.
- Prepare accurate internal control reports in a timely manner.
Requirements:
- B.Sc./HND
- At least 2 years of experience in internal control or compliance (retail experience is a plus).
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and internal control systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail, integrity, and analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
