Job Description
The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) is inviting applications for the position of Research Support Officer for a renewable two-year contract based in Ibadan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in setting up and maintaining forage research trials.
- Support sample preparation, laboratory analysis, and data processing.
- Maintain research equipment and provide logistical support for field activities.
- Collect and prepare feed and forage samples, including operating the NIRS machine.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications: Candidates must possess a minimum HND/BSc in Animal Science or a related field, along with at least four years of relevant experience. GAS Certification from NIAS is mandatory.
Skills Required: Proficiency in data collection and analysis, strong organizational skills, effective communication, and adaptability to field conditions.
