Job Description
The Agricultural Research Council is actively seeking motivated candidates for the position of Laboratory Assistant in Analytical Chemistry. Successful applicants will be responsible for conducting routine laboratory activities and assisting in project work under supervision, while strictly adhering to quality standards and project plans. Key responsibilities of this role include data collection, providing research support, and optimizing laboratory equipment and processes.
Minimum qualifications include a Grade 10 education coupled with five years of relevant experience, or alternatively, 15 years of relevant experience without a Grade 10 certificate. Ideal candidates will demonstrate knowledge of general cleaning and hygiene practices, possess strong communication skills, be computer literate, and hold a valid driver’s license. Experience in Occupational Health and Safety is considered an advantage.
