Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Boat Captain to join our maritime operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe operation and navigation of pilot/surfer boats, ensuring the highest standards of safety and professionalism at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Command and navigate pilot/surfer boats in various weather and sea conditions
• Ensure the safety of all passengers, crew, and vessel operations
• Conduct pre-departure safety inspections and equipment checks
• Maintain accurate navigation logs and vessel documentation
• Coordinate with harbor authorities and other maritime personnel
• Supervise crew members and delegate responsibilities as needed
• Respond effectively to emergency situations
• Ensure compliance with all maritime regulations and safety protocols

Essential Requirements:

• 3-5 years of proven experience as Captain of pilot boats and/or surfer boats
• Valid Officer of the Watch (OOW) Certificate of Competency (COC) – minimum requirement
• Strong knowledge of maritime navigation and safety regulations
• Excellent seamanship and boat handling skills
• Current medical fitness certificate for maritime service
